Integrity installed a 12,500 ft2 temporary shotcrete shoring wall including pipe piles, underpinning of an adjacent structure and rock anchors in Vancouver, BC. Worked within a small footprint with the excavator mounted drill to limit benching and platform requirements needed for anchor installation to allow excavation contractor to continue working.

Over 40 pipe piles with lengths up to 11 m were required around the perimeter of the excavation for excavation stability. Integrity’s hydraulic drill rigs are capable of not only installing anchors but also pipe piles up to 150 mm in diameter. Our experienced crews have a wide range of experience including large diameter work on secant and timber lagging shoring walls giving clients comfort knowing they can install pipe piles efficiently and as per the design drawings.

Additionally underpinning of an adjacent concrete structure was required to achieve design excavation depth. Integrity followed a strict underpinning sequence laid out by the design engineer and installed all additional reinforcement to ensure the temporary shotcrete underpinning would effectively support the adjacent structure throughout the duration of the excavation. Hydraulic anchor rigs allow us to work in tight areas where large working benches required for outdated drilling equipment may not be feasible. We worked alongside the excavation contractor to allow them to continue their bulk excavation while we installed anchors at the same elevation as their excavators worked.
